Testing & Treatments

Diagnostics and Treatment Modalities We Offer

Allergy Shots

Allergy shots, or immunotherapy, involve regular injections of allergens to desensitize the immune system and reduce allergic reactions over time.

Hydrogen Breath Test

The hydrogen breath test is a diagnostic procedure to detect malabsorption of certain sugars by measuring exhaled hydrogen levels after their ingestion.

Anaphylaxis Management

Providing education, emergency medication prescriptions (such as epinephrine auto-injectors), and personalized emergency action plans for patients at risk of severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis).

Nasal Endoscopy

Nasal endoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure using a thin, flexible tube with a light and camera to examine the nasal passages and diagnose conditions such as sinus issues or nasal polyps.

Oral Food Challenges

Oral food challenges are controlled tests conducted under medical supervision to determine and evaluate a person’s allergic reactions to specific foods by gradually introducing them in increasing amounts. Many people can lose their food allergies to various foods over time and can reintroduce foods back into their diet!

Patch Testing

Patch testing is a diagnostic procedure in dermatology that involves applying allergens to the skin to identify and assess contact allergies causing skin reactions (contact dermatitis).

Pulmonary Function Testing

Pulmonary function testing is a diagnostic procedure that assesses lung function, measuring parameters such as airflow, lung volumes, and gas exchange to evaluate respiratory health. It is useful in the surveillance and management of
chronic lung conditions.

Skin Testing

Skin testing is a diagnostic method for identifying allergies by applying small amounts of allergens to the skin, and if needed slightly under the skin, and observing the body’s reaction, helping determine specific triggers.
